All of us have probably hundreds of jingles floating around in our heads. Through advertising history, catchy tunes have always helped products become more familiar and successful in the eyes of the public. In fact, some of this jingles are so good that they have had life outside the marketing world and become hit songs on their own. For example, Barry Manilow and the 70's Argentine band Abracadabra still play a medley of jingles in their live sets, and people love them. These are my Top 20 jingle songs - where you will undoubtedly find a couple from my childhood in Costa Rica.

This is a fun list. A literal music video, also called a "literal video version", is a parody of an official music video clip in which the lyrics have been replaced with lyrics that describe the visuals in the video. Literal video versions are usually based on music videos in which the imagery appears illogical, disconnected with the lyrics, and more concerned with impressive visuals than actual meaning. The results are often hilarious. I encourage you to watch them all and have a blast! These are my Top 20 literal video songs.
A couple of days ago, we elected our first woman president. Election campaigns here in Costa Rica are very colorful and intense; however, candidates hardly ever choose an official campaign song (as they do in the US). I really like it when candidates incorporate pop/rock/country music to their campaign because I think it livens things up and gets people in the right mindset for voting. Inspired by these thoughts, here is my Top 20 US Campaign Songs…

If left to their own devices, these songs will creep into your brain, set up a tent, build a fire, hang out their clothes to dry, and refuse to leave until you have not one shred of sanity left. These songs have not only the power to annoy you but they’re also armed and dangerous… these are my top 20 most annoying songs ever

Do you remember that Seinfeld episode where a guy would drop everything he was doing whenever "Desperado" came on? These songs have pretty much the same effect on me. I know all these lyrics by heart. These are my top 20 sing-along songs. These are my "Desperados"... funny enough, "Desperado" is not one of my "Desperados" je je je...
